By then, I had nearly 20 years of experience as a real estate appraiser, which gave me a real-world understanding of the home buying and selling process. I understood what makes a strong purchase agreement, the lending process and what can go wrong, and the most critical factor of all: determining fair market value.
For buyers, that means not overpaying. For sellers, it means maximizing their return. I am always honest and direct with my clients about what a supported offer looks like and, for sellers, what the most probable sale price is based on current market conditions.
